Description

2-Fluoronitrobenzene is a chemical compound that has two nitrogen atoms, an aromatic hydrocarbon group, and a fluorine atom. It is used as an antimicrobial agent due to its ability to inhibit bacterial growth by interfering with the synthesis of DNA in the bacterial cell. The antibacterial activity of 2-fluoronitrobenzene can be increased by the addition of diazonium salt or quinoline derivatives.
