2-Fluoroanisole is an organic compound that is used in organic synthesis as a chiral auxiliary. The second step involves converting 2-fluoroanisole into its more stable form, dodecanedioic acid, by treating it with hydrochloric acid or trifluoroacetic acid. The structural analysis of this molecule revealed that it contains two nucleophilic substitutions, which are likely responsible for its inhibitory properties.
