• Description: Fmoc-6-aminohexanoic acid is an amino acid that can be used as a building block for peptides and proteins. It has a hydroxide group that can be reacted with other molecules in order to form a covalent bond. The compound reacts with sodium hydroxide solution to produce a particle that is soluble in water and organic solvents. Fmoc-6-aminohexanoic acid also inhibits the protease activity of subtilisin BPN' and leucine aminopeptidase, which are enzymes that break down proteins into smaller polypeptides.
