3,4-Dichloro-D-phenylalanine (Fmoc-3,4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine) is an organophosphate compound used as a reagent in the synthesis of peptides and other compounds. It has been shown to be an effective chiral ligand for copper in coordination chemistry. Fmoc-3,4-dichloro-D-phenylalanine has also been shown to be a potent inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE). Experiments have shown that proton NMR can be used to distinguish between the two enantiomers of this compound.
