Description

Fmoc-L-serine methyl ester is a carbamate that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the synthesis of mannosylated, benzyl esters and amino-acid derivatives, as well as disaccharides and tetrapeptides. Fmoc-L-serine methyl ester is also able to mediate the formation of beta-carbamoyl phosphate from carbamoyl chloride and ammonia. This compound can be synthesized by the solid-phase method or by acetylation with trifluoride gas.
