Description :
2-Fluoro-6-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cancer. It inhibits translation by binding to the ribosome and blocking the activity of the ribosomal RNA molecule. 2-Fluoro-6-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride also has an effect on DNA synthesis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit noninvasive positron uptake. This agent has been shown to be nontoxic in vitro and is stable when used with cells.
