Description :
2'-Fluoro-5'-methylacetophenone is a hydrophobic compound with antifungal activity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi in vitro, and has validated parameters. 2'-Fluoro-5'-methylacetophenone also inhibits the production of ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membranes. X-ray crystallography and analyses have been used to determine the chemical structure and physicochemical properties of this compound.
