Description :3-Fluorobenzamide is a reactive, decoupled amide that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria. It is used as an antimicrobial agent in nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has shown to have an inhibitory effect on the production of inflammatory compounds. 3-Fluorobenzamide is also known to be a hydrogen bond acceptor. 3-Fluorobenzamide was found to have anti-inflammatory properties in a study using carrageenan as the test substance. The compound binds to the carrageenan by forming hydrogen bonds with it, which inhibits its ability to cause inflammation when introduced into animal tissue.END>
