• Description: Ferrocenylmethyl)dodecyldimethylammonium Bromide (FcDMADB) is a cationic surfactant that has been shown to have good wetting properties. It has a hydrophilic head group and a long hydrophobic tail, which leads to the formation of monolayers. The chemical structure of FcDMADB is similar to that of dodecanol, which has been found to reduce the surface tension in water by 10%. The surfactant can be used in the recycling of hydrocarbons because it is able to dissolve sulfates and organic compounds.
