Description :4-Fluoroestradiol is an estrogen with a molecular weight of 270.4 g/mol that has been shown to be carcinogenic in animal models. 4-Fluoroestradiol binds to the estrogen receptor and activates the gene product, which stimulates cell growth and proliferation. This drug has been shown to induce cancer in tissues such as the liver, biliary tract, and mammary glands when administered at doses higher than 0.3 mg/kg/day. 4-Fluoroestradiol also interacts with hydrogen bonds in enzymes such as retinol dehydrogenase, all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA), and specific agents such as retinoic acid (RA). This interaction may inhibit the catalytic rate of these enzymes or alter their substrate specificity.
