Description :
4-Fluorocyclohexanone is a cyclic amine that has been shown to be constant in the environment. It can be found in air, water, and soil as a result of industrial processes such as the production of biphenyl. 4-Fluorocyclohexanone may also be used as an additive for solvents, paints, and dyes. The redox potentials of 4-fluorocyclohexanone are mediated by the presence of electron donating or accepting groups on the ring. This phenomenon leads to its use in cyclic voltammetry and electrophotography. Fluorine is often added to 4-fluorocyclohexanone to increase its stability.
