Description

1-Fluoro-4-Methylchrysene is a carcinogenic chemical that belongs to the chrysene chemical class. It has been shown to be an initiator of skin tumors in mice, and has also been shown to cause cancer in other animal models. 1-Fluoro-4-methylchrysene is a potent tumorigenic chemical that causes cancer through its ability to bind to DNA and inhibit RNA synthesis. This results in increased production of lactic acid, which leads to cell death by apoptosis. The carcinogenic activity of 1-fluoro-4 methylchrysene has been studied extensively in animals and humans, where it was found that this compound is not readily absorbed through the skin or respiratory system.
