Description :
8-Fluoro-5-nitroquinoline is a mutagenic chemical that has been shown to have mutagenic activity in the typhimurium TA100 and Salmonella typhimurium strains. This compound also enhances the mutagenicity of nitro compounds, such as 5-nitroquinoline, in the TA100 strain. 8-Fluoro-5-nitroquinoline may be used to investigate the mechanism of mutagenesis by nitrosamines.
