Description :
2-Fluoro-3-hydroxybenzonitrile is a potent and selective inhibitor of protein kinases. It binds to the active site of the enzyme, with a binding affinity in the low micromolar range. The discovery of this compound was made using x-ray crystallographic techniques on protein kinases. 2-Fluoro-3-hydroxybenzonitrile inhibits both pim-1 and cdc2, which are involved in cell proliferation. This compound has been shown to have anti-proliferative activity in various cell lines.
