Description :
2-[4-Fluoro-3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenoxy]-N-(Phenylmethyl)Butanamide is a herbicide that inhibits the fatty acid and lipid biosynthesis of plants. The mechanism of action is not known, but it has been shown to inhibit the growth of mutant strains in vitro. This herbicide also has been shown to have synergistic effects with other herbicides such as picolinic acid and diphenyl ethers. 2-[4-Fluoro-3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenoxy]-N-(Phenylmethyl)Butanamide does not bind to metal ions such as Pd, Cu, or Zn, but does bind to the carbonyl group of fatty acids. This herbicide can be used in vivo with excipients such as monocarboxylic acids or lipids.
