Description

Glycyl-L-Glutamine is a dietary supplement that provides the body with glutamine. It is a naturally occurring amino acid and is involved in protein synthesis, antibody production, and cell growth. Glycyl-L-Glutamine has been shown to inhibit bacterial translocation by maintaining physiological levels of glutamine in the body. The drug also stimulates IL-2 receptor expression and upregulates T cells, which are important for immune function. Glycyl-L-Glutamine has been shown to have a hypotensive effect on systolic pressure in mice. This may be due to its ability to maintain mitochondrial membrane potential and promote energy metabolism. Glycyl-L-Glutamine also binds to peptide hormones such as insulin, glucagon, and somatostatin and can be used as an analytical method for detecting these hormones.
