• Description: (R)-(-)-Glycidyl benzyl ether is an epoxide that can be synthesized by the reaction of glycidol and benzyl chloride with a chiral catalyst. The synthesis of (R)-(-)-Glycidyl benzyl ether involves a four-step process with a yield of around 60%. The second step involves the addition of benzyl chloride to glycidol to produce 1,2-epoxycyclohexane.
