Description

5-(Hydroxymethyl)quinolin-8-ol is a molecule that inhibits the activity of some molecules. It has been shown to have neuroprotective properties and can be used to treat brain injury. 5-(Hydroxymethyl)quinolin-8-ol also has antimicrobial properties, and it can be used to control growth of bacterial strains such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli.
