Informations sur le produit
- 4-Bromo-3-hydroxybenzoic acid 98%
3-Hydroxy-4-bromobenzoic acid is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme decarboxylase, which is involved in the production of polyamines. This compound has been shown to inhibit light emission from gram-negative bacteria and to be effective against chlamydia. 3-Hydroxy-4-bromobenzoic acid binds to the active site of the decarboxylase and blocks its function. This inhibits the synthesis of polyamines, which are necessary for protein production and cell growth. 3-Hydroxy-4-bromobenzoic acid also has a potent inhibitory effect on histidine decarboxylase activity and can be used as an indicator for bacterial contamination in food or water samples by measuring histidine levels.
