Description :
2-(2-Heptynylthio)-phenol acetate is a new compound that is used as an industrial preparation. It has been shown to suppress the activity of the cell signaling pathways and inhibit the proliferation of primary cells and muscle cells in vitro. 2-(2-Heptynylthio)-phenol acetate also inhibits the replication of herpes simplex virus by interfering with viral polymerase chain reaction. This drug has been shown to be safe for use in humans, as it does not show any toxicity after 24 hours of administration.
