• Description: 4-Hydroxybenzophenone is a phenolic compound that is a glycoside of benzoic acid. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the activity of nadph-cytochrome P450 reductase and to be potentially useful as a radiation-protective agent. 4-Hydroxybenzophenone has also been used as a skin cancer treatment in humans, although its mechanism of action is not fully understood.
