Description

N-Hexadecylsuccinic anhydride is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of inhibitor compounds. It has been shown to inhibit hydrochloric acid, amide, and crankcase oil by measuring its electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Molecular modeling has shown that N-hexadecylsuccinic anhydride binds strongly to nitrogen atoms in an organic molecule. The molecular diameter is large enough to bind on the surface of a liquid crystal molecule, which may be the reason for its high adsorption rate.
