Description :
4-Hydroxy-2,2,5,5-tetramethylhexan-3-one is a monocarboxylic acid that is synthesized through the reaction of sodium carbonate and methyl ethyl ketone. It can be used as a polymerization initiator for cationic polymerization reactions in the presence of light exposure. This product has also been shown to be developable under light exposure and can be used as a cross-linking agent in crosslinking with trifluoroacetic acid. This product has been found to have some toxicity in animals.
