HIV Protease Substrate is a protease inhibitor that binds to the active site of HIV protease and blocks its activity, which prevents the maturation of viral proteins. It also inhibits other protein-cutting enzymes by binding to their active sites. The HIV Protease Substrate is used in the diagnosis of HIV infection, as well as for the treatment of cancer and other diseases associated with uncontrolled protein synthesis. This drug has been shown to have antiviral activity against a variety of viruses, including influenza virus, herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), and hepatitis B virus (HBV).
