Description :
Heteroclitin D is a sesquiterpene lactone from the plant Fructus heterocliti. It is an inhibitor of ATP-sensitive K+ channels and has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro. Heteroclitin D has been shown to have pharmacokinetics properties that are linear over a wide range of doses, which makes it an efficient method for drug development. It also inhibits L-type calcium currents and causes a reduction in the number of cancer cells, suggesting a potential use as an anticancer agent.
