Description :
Hosenkoside C is a natural product that belongs to the class of indole alkaloids. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-tumor activities. Hosenkoside C has been reported in the literature to be an inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. Hosenkoside C is also known to be an inhibitor of the enzyme butyrylcholinesterase, which hydrolyzes butyrylcholine at a much slower rate than acetylcholinesterase. Hosenkoside C has also been shown to inhibit the enzyme monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) and may have antidepressant effects.
