Description

Hyoscyamine sulfate hydrate is an imidazoline alkaloid that is used in the treatment of muscle spasms and other conditions. It is an antagonist at muscarinic receptors, which are found in the autonomic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. Hyoscyamine sulfate hydrate also has a hydroxyl group and a nitrogen atom, which are both important for its activity. In addition, hyoscyamine sulfate hydrate contains water molecules.
