Description

5-Isopropylisoxazole-3-carbonyl chloride is a colorless to light yellow liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. It is used as a reagent, speciality chemical, or intermediate for the preparation of other chemicals. 5-Isopropylisoxazole-3-carbonyl chloride has been used in the synthesis of a variety of biologically active compounds, including pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. This compound can be used as a building block for more complex molecules in both organic synthesis and biochemistry. 5-Isopropylisoxazole-3-carbonyl chloride has also been shown to have inhibitory effects on protein kinase C (PKC) and DNA topoisomerases I and II.
