Description :3-Iodooxetane is an atypical psychotropic drug that binds to the 5-HT1A receptor and has been used for the treatment of depression. It is a 5-HT1A receptor agonist, which causes serotonin release in the brain and has been shown to be effective in treating depression. 3-Iodooxetane also binds to albumin and has a long half life due to its lipophilic properties. This drug should not be administered with other drugs that are metabolized through oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, as it may lead to increased levels of 3-iodooxetane.
