Description :
3-Isopropylphenol is a primary amino compound that is bioassayed for its effects on animal health. It has an exothermic reaction with hydrogen fluoride, and it is also a natural compound found in fatty acids. 3-Isopropylphenol has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animals by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. 3-Isopropylphenol binds to constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) and inhibits the response pathway involving CAR activation by binding to the receptor, which causes changes in gene expression. 3-Isopropylphenol also possesses perfluorinated properties due to its structural formula containing a carbonyl group and two fluorine atoms.
