Description :2-Indol-3-yl-4-oxo-4-phenylbutanoic acid is a plant derived compound that has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of pea plants. It inhibits pea nodule formation by binding to the regulatory protein 2-aminoisobutyric acid (ABA) receptor, which is necessary for transport of ABA into the cell.
