Description :Isophthalonitrile is a chemical compound that is used in wastewater treatment. It has been shown to be effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Isophthalonitrile has been shown to have antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It also inhibits the growth of the fungus Candida albicans and the virus herpes simplex type 1 (HSV-1) in vitro.
