Description :
3-Isoquinolinecarbonitrile is a nucleophilic compound that is used in vivo as a model for the study of elimination reactions. 3-Isoquinolinecarbonitrile is mediated by isoquinolyl, which can be modified to produce unsymmetrical compounds. 3-Isoquinolinecarbonitrile has been shown to have anticancer activity and selectivity against cancer cells but not normal cells. It also has been shown to be a drug target for cardiac function, with structural modifications that lead to increased selectivity.
