Isocorynoxeine is a diterpene alkaloid that has been extracted from the rhizome of Gastrodia elata. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat skin diseases and promote hair growth. Isocorynoxeine has also been shown to have synergistic effects with other drugs, such as carthamus tinctorius and Angelica Dahurica, which may be due to its ability to inhibit matrix metalloproteinase activity.
