Jujuboside B1 is a flavonoid derivative derived from the jujube fruit. It has been shown to have a blood-pressure-lowering effect in rats and rabbits, as well as an anti-inflammatory effect in mice. Jujuboside B1 has also been shown to lower levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in experimental animals. Chemical analysis of this compound reveals that it contains fatty acids, which may be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects. Jujuboside B1 has not been studied extensively in humans, but preliminary studies indicate that it could be used for the treatment of hypertension and coronary heart disease.
