Description

Kakkatin is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of glycoside derivatives. It is extracted from the roots and stems of the plant Pueraria lobata, which has potent inhibitory activity against cancer cells. Kakkatin inhibits cancer cells by inhibiting the synthesis of protein and nucleic acids. The extract also contains isoflavones, which are thought to have anticancer properties. The molecular docking analysis showed that kakkatin binds with high affinity to a number of proteins that are involved in cell growth and proliferation. This suggests that kakkatin may affect cancer cells by interfering with their ability to divide or grow.
