Description

Kukoamine B is a chemical inhibitor that inhibits the proliferation of cells by binding to the bcl-2 protein. It has been shown to have antiinflammatory effects in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF). Kukoamine B also has a chemiluminescence method for measuring cell proliferation and a control analysis for determining the effect on injury. Kukoamine B binds to toll-like receptor 4, leading to an increase in oxidative injury. The molecular docking studies showed that kukoamine B can bind to DNA at or near sites of damage caused by oxidative injury, inhibiting nuclear dna synthesis and causing cell death.
