Description

H-Leu-Ser-OH is a small peptide that has been shown to have antihypertensive and anticancer effects. H-Leu-Ser-OH inhibits the formation of high density lipoprotein (HDL) and is used as an antihyperlipidemic agent. It also inhibits the production of angiotensin II, which is a hormone that regulates blood pressure. H-Leu-Ser-OH prevents the virus from infecting cells by preventing viral protein synthesis and inhibiting viral RNA replication. This peptide also inhibits the growth of tumor cells by binding to tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), which is an enzyme that converts plasminogen into plasmin, which destroys fibrin clots in the body. H-Leu-Ser-OH has been shown to be effective against hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus in vitro.
