Description

Lithium tertiary butoxide is a copper complex that is used as an additive in the process optimization of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. It has been shown to react with fatty acids, forming epoxides and hydroxyl groups. Lithium tertiary butoxide can be used to synthesize epoxides by reacting with alcohols or phenols in the presence of a base. Lithium tertiary butoxide is reactive and has been shown to have electrochemical properties, which can be determined through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The kinetic data for lithium tertiary butoxide has also been examined using chemical reactions that involve this compound.
