Luteolin 6,8-di-C-glucoside is a natural compound that has been shown to have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. It is a potential drug target for the treatment of bowel diseases. Luteolin 6,8-di-C-glucoside has also been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro, suggesting it may be useful for the treatment of carcinomas. The compound's activity index was found to be 3.86±0.19 Luteolin 6,8-di-C-glucoside inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication.
