• Description: L-Lysine L-malate is a chemical compound that is used in wastewater treatment. It inhibits the activity of enzymes such as carbon disulphide oxidase, copper complexes, and cationic surfactants. L-Lysine L-malate can be synthesized from sodium citrate and malonic acid by reacting with hydrogen peroxide to form a bicyclic heterocycle. This compound has been shown to have biological effects on metabolic disorders in animal studies, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of fatty acids and proteins.
