4'-Methyl-2,2,2-trifluoroacetophenone is a chiral catalyst that can be used to oxidize alcohols to their corresponding aldehydes and ketones. This compound is typically used in the synthesis of biomolecules. The yield of this reaction is very high when using a high concentration of 4'-methyl-2,2,2-trifluoroacetophenone.
