7-Methyl-1,8-naphthyridin-2-amine is an organic compound that belongs to the class of heterocyclic amines. It has been shown to be a potent fertility agent in female rats, which may be due to its ability to stimulate the release of gonadotropins from the pituitary gland. 7-Methyl-1,8-naphthyridin-2-amine has also been shown to promote weight loss in obese mice by increasing thermogenesis and fat oxidation. This molecule contains a hydroxy group and can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules, such as caproic acid, which can lead to the formation of dna duplexes. 7-Methyl-1,8-naphthyridin-2-amine has also been shown to react with hydrochloric acid (HCl) and produce hydrogen chloride gas.
