Description :
1-Methyl-4-nitronaphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon that is used as an extractant for phase extraction. This compound has been shown to be an efficient sorbent for the removal of phenanthrene, desorption of quinones, and recovery of chrysene from soil samples. 1-Methyl-4-nitronaphthalene can be customized by changing the solvent or filter size to optimize the process for the desired sample preparation. Sample preparation using this compound includes filtration and dispersive liquid-liquid extraction. 1-Methyl-4-nitronaphthalene can also be used in gas chromatography with frequencies up to 450 MHz.
