Description

4-(6-Methyl-1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)phenyl]amine (MTPA) is an amine that is used as a dietary supplement. It has been shown to increase the urinary excretion of calcium, which can help prevent osteoporosis. MTPA has also been shown to decrease the level of parathyroid hormone in rats and mice with hyperparathyroidism. The detection time for MTPA ranges from 3 hours to 9 hours, depending on the analytical method used. In addition, MTPA is fluorescent and has a low light emission at wavelengths of 585 nm and 605 nm. It also undergoes thermal expansion and changes in acidity with pH levels in the range of 2-7.
