Description :
N-(2-Methoxyethyl)but-3-en-1-amine is a crystalline compound that has been synthesised. It is a heteroleptic anion with electron deficiency stabilised by methoxy groups, which act as coordinating ligands for metal cations. The crystal structure of this compound has been determined using X-ray diffraction. The intramolecular interaction between the methoxy groups and the electron deficiency in the molecule have been observed to be stabilising. N-(2-Methoxyethyl)but-3-en-1-amine was synthesised from 2-(methoxymethylamino)ethanol and butadiene.
