Description

Methyl 2-chlorothiazole-5-carboxylate is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that belongs to the class of multitarget agents. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of multiple kinases, including the tyrosine kinase, in vitro and in vivo. Methyl 2-chlorothiazole-5-carboxylate has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and cancer growth in cell culture and animal models. The sulfoxide group is thought to be responsible for its cytotoxic activity by inhibiting the cycle at G1/G0 phase transition.
