Informations sur le produit
- 5-Methyl-3-isoxazolecarbonitrile
5-Methylisoxazole-3-carbonitrile is an intermediate in the synthesis of pyridinium salts. It is prepared by the reaction of 5-methylisoxazole with nitrosyl chloride and hydrogen gas. This compound can be used to synthesize pyridinium salts, which are used in a variety of chemical reactions. 5-Methylisoxazole can also be hydrogenated to form isoxazoles, which are used for x-ray diffraction studies. The structure of this molecule was determined by x-ray diffraction experiments that were carried out on crystals of the compound.
