Description

N-Methylnaphthalen-1-amine is a serotonin uptake inhibitor. It is an organic solvent that is soluble in water. N-Methylnaphthalen-1-amine can be used to study the uptake of serotonin by neurons and its effect on their function. N-Methylnaphthalen-1-amine has been shown to inhibit the uptake of serotonin, which may be due to its ability to react with alkylating agents and form covalent bonds with amines.
