Description

Methyl 4-amino-1,3-thiazole-5-carboxylate is a coupling agent that is used in organic synthesis. It is an ether that can be used as a solvent or reaction medium. The coupling reactions between methyl 4-amino-1,3-thiazole-5-carboxylate and the alkyl halides are efficient and lead to high yields of the desired products. Methyl 4-amino-1,3-thiazole-5-carboxylate has been used in organic synthesis by Buchwald and Hartwig to synthesize the cyclopentane ring system of eucalyptol and by Buchwald to synthesize the methyl ethers of solvents such as diethyl ether.
